Casa Callenta is a walk-in center that offers a safe and warm space for people with cancer and their loved ones to reclaim their lives after diagnosis. Alongside a welcoming environment, Casa Callenta provides various activities that enhance the recovery and well-being of guests, complementing their medical care.
Activities range from introductions like care massage and qi gong, to informational sessions on topics such as ‘returning to work after cancer’ and ‘healthy sleep’. There are also workshops where tips and experiences are shared, such as during ‘Look good, feel better’ or a culinary cooking workshop.
Additionally, physical activity programs, including monthly walks, help rebuild physical strength. Monthly (cultural) outings encourage guests to reengage with life.
Over the past five years, Casa Callenta has organized more than six hundred activities, including walks totaling over 480 kilometers, providing essential support in the recovery process for people living with cancer.
