Osjosma

The OSJOSMA orphanage in Haiti is dedicated to helping children who often grow up without parents due to poverty and illness. In Haiti, the poorest country on the American continent, many people survive on just one meal a day, and access to education and healthcare is limited, leading to a short life expectancy, even for children.

The orphanage currently houses 32 children and young people and aims to become self-sufficient by investing in agricultural projects. It relies entirely on donations and is managed by Olès and a team of 17 staff members. The current priorities are the renovation of the oldest building, welcoming new children, and further developing agricultural activities to ensure the orphanage’s long-term sustainability.
